Andy Ruiz Jr. has shown that he is working hard to be in his best shape when he faces Cuban Luis “King Kong” Ortiz, as the Mexican-American fighter has surprised with his evident weight loss. “Destroyer” is getting ready to return to the ring on September 4 in Los Angeles, facing the veteran boxer for the World Boxing Organization (WBO) heavyweight title.

In social media, the physical evolution of Ruiz Jr. can be seen, looking drastically different from how he looked in 2019, when he surprisingly beat Anthony Joshua and was placed on the covers of the whole world, sporting a prominent abdomen.

The 32-year-old boxer has been training constantly, especially since his boxing activity has been very little in recent years, he only entered the ring in May of last year since his defeat in December 2019 when Joshua snatched the WBO titles from him, WBA and IBF.

“Destroyer” came far from his best form to the second fight with Anthony Joshua, held in Saudi Arabia, confident, and having fallen into excess after his triumph in the first confrontation against the Briton, Andy moved up to 284 pounds from 268 pounds that weighed before his remembered victory.
