Emma Raducanu has become a global superstar since her historic US Open victory and continues to reach new milestones in her young career, both on and off the court.
Emma Raducanu continues to reach milestones and break records following her historic US Open win. The 18-year-old became the first qualifier in history to win a Grand Slam when she lifted the trophy at Flushing Meadows recently, and has since shot up the rankings from world No 338 to world No 22 in as little as three months.
She is now making waves off the court, having reached a milestone on Instagram that few players have been able to attain.Raducanu made history when she became the first qualifier, man or woman, to reach a Grand Slam final at the US Open earlier this month, and went one better by winning the title without dropping a set through three qualifying rounds and seven main-draw matches.
She was also the first player to win the title on just her second appearance at Grand Slam level, and ended a 44-year drought for a female British Grand Slam champion.
The unprecedented triumph made the Bromley teenager something of an overnight sensation, as she became an internationally-recognised name in the sporting world after beating fellow-teen Leylah Annie Fernandez in the US Open final on Saturday September 11.
